Welcome To ZivBio

An environmentally conscious approach to single-use products.

Single-use items are used in many industries including food service, packaging and retail. However, while their use is hygienic and functional, the waste created is an enormous environmental issue. Each year thousands of tonnes of plastic packaging waste ends up in landfill, or worse, in our waterways and oceans.

We only have one planet and we need to do more to look after it. ZivBio is a new Australian enterprise specialising in plant-based, biodegradable materials and products. Plus, we not only sell finished products but also the raw materials (injection, extrusion, film) for you to use to make your own products.

While great improvements are taking place to reduce people’s reliance on single-use items, there are many examples where single-use plastic packaging, that will take hundreds of years to breakdown, is still being used. At ZivBio, we think there is a better option.

ZivBio hopes to help provide a more environmentally friendly option for businesses and consumers that still wish to use single-use products by providing products that will biodegrade and won’t end up floating around in our oceans.

Founded in 2019, Zivbio in conjunction with its supplier partners, carries out university-industry cooperation in order to turn modified starch into bio-based and biodegradable materials.
